Nigeria’s Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has begun construction of a 1.5-megawatt interconnected hybrid mini-grid in Pankshin, Plateau State. In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 21, REA Managing Director Abba Aliyu said the project is part of the Nigeria Electrification Project, which is supported by the African Development Bank.
“This marks our second major milestone in Plateau following the commissioning of the 50kWp Solar Mini-Grid in Namu Community last November. It is also only the beginning,” he said.
